| Book Synopsis |
The Magi were once kept as slaves and they hold a grudge against the race who owned them. The Carne find themselves dealing with an illness and one of the three princes goes to ask the Magi for help, even though he knows about his grudge. He is followed by the daughter of the Matriarch who believes that the healers should help everyone, regardless of who they are and if they are able to pay for the help, which is something she\'s been fighting with her mother about for years.
