Synopsis

"Book 1 of the Channel Riders"

Pilot is the story of Elena.  Once she was one of the most promising pilots in the guild of families, able to take her ship from earth’s oceans and through the channels that led to a world of interstellar commerce.  Then she was afflicted with the Calling, and for the good of her ship was grounded.  For five years she has made a life for herself outside of the guild but with one bad coffee run she is brought unwilling back in.  Ian has betrayed the guild and let out their secrets, which has lead to twenty-six deaths.  Now Elena must walk a fine line between the mafia-like guild and the military to prevent further tragedy.  In the process of preventing universal meltdown, Elena also finds out that the Calling may not be the affliction everyone thought it was.
