Jason Brand is a bully. It's not his fault, a lot has happened recently, including his move to Kingston, N.Y. where his father works as a Sheriff. Only a week after his arrival, an unusual discovery plummets him into a 200 year old mystery involving supernatural creatures and ancient cults.

He'll have to team up with an one of his bullying targets, Gretta Knight, in order to solve the mystery and survive. Romantic interest blossoms, and friendships are forged as the two delve deep into the history of the Hudson Valley.
