"Family by choice"

"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."

Five diverse young adults create a family together while dealing with all of the trials of coming of age in modern-day America.

We Built This Home Ourselves is the first installment of the We Built This Home trilogy. As of July 22, 2014, seven chapters have been posted.

BIRDIE (the darling) With ebony skin and dimples to steal your heart, Birdie sweeps everyone she talks to off their feet.

PARAMESH (the heart) Para is first generation Indian American. He’s buried in grief over the recent loss of the older brother who raised him after their parents’ deaths and determined to remain so.

FEY (the leader) Fey is aloof, strong, and as powerful as a gale force wind.

QUIN (the keystone) Quin is quiet and steady, with self-esteem that has taken quite a beating.

NIKOLAI (the instigator) Nikolai is theatric to the point of absurdity (at times, shh don’t tell him) and also the most physically affectionate of the bunch.
