Synopsis

Best friends Eugene “G” O’Donnell and Jake Mahoney have been planning for a zombie invasion throughout their early teens, and they finally have a chance to test out their theories when a global outbreak occurs. They’ve got a notebook full of experiments and zombie killing plans, and they can’t wait to try out their ideas on the undead hordes. But what if the zombies aren’t the “classic type” that G and Jake were fantasizing about? Can they keep killing zombies after they learn the truth? And will G ever get over his fears and admit how he feels about Jake?

"amusing" permalink
The quality of this novel is somewhat lacking. But for a light-hearted, quick and easy read, it is perfect.
It's impossible not to feel empathy for Eugene, a stunted scientist that has a crush on his jock best-friend. He's looking for a cure for the zombie plague that has infested the whole world.
